I write this blog so that we have some place to share thoughts.

I am just looking at the GMUs and comparing to the Colorado map.

It looks like 68 may have potential. Does 68 have part of the wildness area in it? Can we get to it?

This summer it looks like if we go west from Saguache on  highway 114 for about 15 miles there is a dirt road going first west then south to a campground about 5 mile north of the Wilderness area.

Also about 10 miles west of Saguache there is a dirt road going south to La Garta that has three campsites on it.  There surely would be trails and forest roads to the west we could explore.

Gip, are you free on the days of your wife's  event or are you committed to those events also.  I want to be at Rocking K for the Jackpot shoot on Wednesday the 22nd.  Might come early to explore with you.

GMU 79 is also a possibility.  I don't think there is any wilderness in it and it appears there is a lot less National forest. La Garta creek looks like something we should look at.

GMU 81 still on table, but it sure looks rough.

Time to look at TOPO s.
