Sheep Mountain

If the wilderness area is in 68 we can get to the top of Sheep Mtn, elevation 12,085.  We can drive on a 4 wheel trail to 11,200 ft.  Last 800 feet will be a bit of a hike.  There is a second trail, the middle fork trail of Saugchee Creek goes to 10,060 but then the hike is another 2,000 feet.

Just started looking.

The National Interactive Visitor Map looks great for finding roads and trails.  Just started looking on it.  Assuming part of Wilderness is in 68 we can get to it:

FR 790 "Big Dirt" goes to within 3/4 mile o boundary.  Goes to about 11,200 feet. Sheep Mtn is  12,085.

FR 783 "Middle Fork" goes to 10,000 or so then becomes a 20% hiking trail into the wilderness area.

Trail 912 is hiking only 20% grade.

FR 600 "Pool table" actually goes into the Wilderness area from the east but probably is south of where we want to be. It to becomes a hiking  trail.
